How to start trading on Fomo

Six steps from install to your first discounted trade. No account, no password — just a wallet and a code.

  1. 1. Download the app

    Fomo is available on iOS, Android, Web. Download from the official app store or fomo.family directly — avoid third-party APK sources.

  2. 2. Create your account

    Follow the in-app signup flow. Since Fomo is non-custodial, your wallet and keys are generated and secured on your device (via Shamir's Secret Sharing) rather than stored by Fomo — write down/back up whatever recovery method the app gives you before funding anything.

  3. 3. Apply a referral code

    Enter a valid referral code during signup to get 10% off your trading fees going forward.

  4. 4. Fund your account

    Deposit via the method the app supports for your region/chain. Only send funds on the network the app specifies — sending on the wrong chain is a common and irreversible mistake with non-custodial wallets.

  5. 5. Make your first trade

    Spot trading (memecoins, altcoins, stablecoins) is available to everyone; perpetuals (via Hyperliquid) are available outside the US. Start small until you're comfortable with the interface and fee structure.

  6. 6. Enable security features

    Turn on whatever account security options the app offers (biometrics, backup verification, etc.) before you deposit anything meaningful. Since Fomo can't recover funds for you — that's the tradeoff of non-custodial design — your own security hygiene is the only safety net.
